43 Calorie Chicken and Dumplings

Oat fiber. The secret ingredient is always oat fiber. It's zero calories but creates bulk, makes you feel full, and is barely noticeable in terms of taste and texture. This recipe is small but filling. Have it as a snack, or bulk it up with vegetables and meat to become a meal.
Recipe:
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp oat fiber
  • 1/2 a bullion cube
  • water
Prepare the soup base with the bullion and water. Protip: add extra water and some salt to get more both for the same calories.

Mix the flour and oat fiber with just enough water to make a dough. Don't use too much or the dumplings will fall apart when you cook them. Your goal is to have every speck of flour and fiber hydrated, but have it hold it's shape and not stick to the bowl or spoon.

Break off chunks of dough with a spoon and drop them into the gently boiling broth. They only need to boil for a minute or two, but they will still hold their shape if you boil them longer.

Enjoy!
